Teva Teams Up With Waterkeeper Alliance To Protect Watersheds
Goleta, Calif. (August 22, 2006) – After 20 years in the performance outdoor footwear industry, leading manufacturer Teva (a division of Deckers Outdoor Corporation NASDAQ: DECK) remains committed to the protection of the earth’s waterways.
On August 10, at the 25th annual Outdoor Retailer Summer Market, Teva made a contribution to the Waterkeeper Alliance deepening its environmental commitment. Executive Director Steve Fleischli was on hand at the tradeshow to accept a check in the amount of $50,000. A previous donation was also made in the amount of $5,000 earlier in the year at the Waterkeeper Alliance Annual National Conference in San Francisco, CA. Each of the 200 individuals in attendance also received a pair of Teva footwear.

Our heritage obligates us to get involved with the protection of these waterways,†says Pete Worley, Teva Brand President. “We are proud to stand along with Waterkeeper Alliance in this effort against polluters, and give hope that change is possible.â€
