On May 15, 2010, on the shores of the Boulder Reservoir in Boulder, Colorado, the world’s bouldering elite will throw down in one of the nation’s most dramatic settings. With unprecedented media coverage, The Battle in the Bubble is the new model for high-end competition climbing.
On Saturday, bring the family to the Boulder Reservoir and spend the day. Start your morning at 9:30 by walking for a cause with the 2010 Walk MS Colorado. Then at noon, munch a picnic lunch and gather your strength to test your skills in the afternoon trying out the many demo activities from slacklining, to stand up paddle board, and more. Get yourself to the top of the climbing wall for a chance to win a VIP trip to Vail for the Teva Mountain Games.
Starting at 4PM, explore booths from local vendors, grab a burrito served up by Wahoo’s, and sip some Avery beer in the Access Fund beer garden.
And the climax to the day starts at 6PM with the country’s biggest and most exciting climbing competition, the Pro Bouldering Invitational! 20 of the world’s best men & women climbers get into it for real … 4 elimination problems leading up to the final head-to-head battle for the 1st Ascent and Champion Title!
Join the pro-athletes and the Access Fund Sunday morning for breakfast and the Eldorado Canyon Trail Day. Time to give back and take care of the places we love! Clean up begins at 9AM and goes until noon. Wear your work clothes, plan to get dirty, and have some hard-working fun.
