To streamline the BH U.S. operations, the privately held BH Group, has consolidated the award-winning BH Bikes, BH Fitness and Easy Motion brands into the BH North America corporate offices in Southern California.
Leading the change of this strategic alliance that will benefit the highly complementary brands, will be BH North America’s CEO, Steve Lindenau with 25 years of experience in the fitness and bike industry. He will now serve as the CEO for BH Bikes and Easy Motion e-bikes. For 13 years, Steve governed Trek Germany as their well respected President, and turned the brand into an industry leader. His vast knowledge base with bikes will provided valuable knowledge to propel BH Bikes as a significant presence in the industry.
Adding to the mix of BH Bikes will be the US debut of BH Mountain Bikes at the end of Q2. Steve Lindenau stated “This decisive move accelerates our strategy, synergistic growth and buying power. This is a tremendous opportunity to expand our reach. Adding the BH mountain bike line, and Easy Motion pedal assist bikes to the momentum of our existing high-end BH road bikes will grow business and increase the company’s exposure and market share.”
Bob Whip, formerly the President of Johnson Health Tech Wellness & Leisure and Horizon Fitness with over 25 years of industry experience, will step into Lindenau’s vacated role of CEO for BH Fitness. Bob Whip and Steve Lindenau successfully teamed together at Trek. Their efforts will collectively elevate the BH Group.
National Sales Manager for BH Bikes, Dan Barnes remains onboard as our valued bike dealer’s chief contact. “Our integration has been proceeding smoothly; unifying our brands will strengthen the company and the additional products provide a complete offering and greater value. We will still be accessible to our current and future dealers with our existing toll-free number, and the new corporate architecture allows for improvements in service with a comprehensive ERP system, providing our accounts with pertinent real-time data.”
The synergy of BH Bikes and BH Fitness has long been adopted with the training regimen of the myriad of BH professional athletes who actively use BH products; including reigning Olympic Gold medallists Julie Bressett and Nicola Spirig. Both catapulted their careers with BH.

About BH Bikes
BH Bikes is one of Europe’s most prestigious bicycle makers and have built the brand into one of the most established and successful in the world of cycling. Since our inception, BH Bikes painstakingly engineers, designs, tests and builds bicycles that climb with ease, descend with confidence – always putting rider performance and comfort out front. It’s no wonder BH Bikes won the first Vuelta a Espana in 1935, and has won it six times since. BH Bikes has also enjoyed carrying the yellow jersey for eight straight stages in the 2009 Tour de France.
Today, BH Bikes capitalizes on a history of more than 100 years of setting performance standards in an industry inherently driven to innovate what we ride and race. BH Bikes has developed a specific line of higher performance bicycles that are lighter, stiffer and more ergonomic than the competition. We manufactured the first monocoque carbon frame weighing less than 800g, placing our frames among the lightest and most efficient in the world and creating a new category – Ultralight Bicycles.
