The FabricLink Network's Top 10 Innovations for 2010 is the inaugural feature, which acknowledges leading product developments from the textile products industry.

Tarzana, CA. February 11, 2011, The FabricLink Network’s Top 10 Innovations for 2010 is the inaugural feature, which acknowledges leading product developments from the textile products industry. This year’s Innovation winners highlight an array of new products from fiber and yarn construction, to exciting new recyclable performance fabrics and materials, to recent developments in nanotechnology. The new technologies are commercially available in the specialty fabrics market, and many are currently available in finished products from major brands for the consumer.

The companies winning this year’s award include: Advanced Flexible Materials, Next Fiber Technology, Outlast® Technology, PLUS Compound Technologies, PrimaLoft®, Rentex Inc., Rogers Corporation, SNS Nanofiber Technology, Texollini Inc., and Vulcana. The Top 10 Innovations for 2010 can be viewed at:

Kathy Swantko founder of the FabricLink Network, explains the motivation behind the award, “Since innovation drives the specialty fabric market, we want to recognize the products, designers, manufacturers and suppliers, who are on the cutting edge and leading the way to the next generation of products and technology.”

The purpose of the annual Top 10 Innovations award is to pay tribute to the creation of new products in the specialty fabrics area, or the formulation of interesting and novel textile fiber and fabric developments that significantly improve the design, construction or performance of existing textile products.

The selection of the “Top 10 Products” is made by the FabricLink Network based on review of new products introduced into the marketplace during 2010. The products have end use applications in the areas of technical sports textiles, industrial, medical, safety/protective and home furnishings.

In September, the FabricLink Network will begin accepting nominations for the Top 10 Innovations for 2011, which will be announced in January 2012.
