BACKPACKER Get Out More TV will bring the trail tested tips and techniques previously shared on the Get Out More Tour to life every Thursday night starting July 9th and running through October 15th. Created to spark the adventurous spirit of the nation’s outdoor adventure enthusiasts, each unique episode of the fifteen-week series will feature a different regional backpacking destination, visually inspiring highlights from the trail, skills every backpacker should know, and a variety of gear segments, all designed to both educate and motivate.
Seasoned BACKPACKER Ambassador, Randy Propster will be your host as the series follows the on-trail adventures of fellow Ambassadors Steve Yocom and Jordan Meeks (and their four-legged friends, Cain and Sage). Weaved amongst the trail highlights will be interviews with outdoor experts, brand representatives and gear designers, as well as skills demonstrations and recurring gear focused segments including Forgotten Features, A Closer Look, Just the Specs, Dodging Pitfalls, and Instant Upgrades.
Staying true to the mission of the original event platform, BACKPACKER will utilize the virtual series to support specialty outdoor retailers. Each episode will spotlight three retailers, featuring their associates as gear experts, and positioning the stores as the “gateway to adventure” during an enthusiast’s adventure planning and preparing process.
“Knowing that the state of COVID-19 would inhibit gathering large groups together for the traditional Get Out More Tour presentations didn’t waiver our desire to continue to support the specialty outdoor retailers whose businesses have been hit hardest by the economic impact of the pandemic.
