The OIWC Launches Live Interview Series

The Outdoor Industries Women’s Coalition (OIWC) is pleased to announce the launch of the Live Interview Series, a quarterly webinar interviewing executive-level women in the Outdoor Industry. The first event in the Interview Series will take place on May 18 at noon MST and will include an hour-long conversation with Elysa Walk, General Manager of Giant Bicycles.

Elysa Walk entered the bike industry with Giant Bicycles in 2004 as a Human Resources Director. Spreading her responsibilities, Walk added the Director of Finance duties to her role, and then quickly became Giant’s Executive Director. In 2007, Walk took on full responsibility for Giant USA as General Manager, and now oversees all sales, operations, product development and marketing.

Sally Grimes, Executive Director of OIWC, will conduct the interview. The webinar will include streaming live video, and will be tailored around questions submitted by OIWC members. The conversation will open up at the end for additional Q&A.

“We have been conducting written interviews with these inspirational leaders for over a year, and at one point we realized the best part of the articles was the interview, with tangents and stories that are difficult to capture in a written piece,” said Grimes, “With the live interviews, all OIWC members can learn first-hand from these leaders, and hopefully use that information to launch their own ideas and creative endeavors.”
