The Outsiders Ball after party, sponsored by Eddie Bauer, kicks off at 9:30 and is open to the first 1000 Outdoor Retailer attendees.
– The Outsiders Ball, a fundraiser for The Outdoor Foundation and outdoor community projects across the United States, is officially sold out, thanks to overwhelming support from the outdoor industry. To accommodate those without an Outsiders Ball ticket and to keep the party going for ticketholders, an after party will begin promptly at 9:30. Sponsored by Eddie Bauer, a $20 donation gets partygoers two drink tickets, great music and a chance to win Eddie Bauer prize packs.
Both the Outsiders Ball and after party will be held at the Gallivan Center on July 30, kicking off at 6 pm on the eve of Outdoor Retailer Summer Market. The “party-with-a-purpose” is expected to draw more than 700 industry leaders, including executives, key retailers, members of the media and emerging thought leaders. The event will consist of interactive areas where attendees will shape the conversation and content for the evening. Areas include Story Corps – attendees can share the experiences that have shaped their love for the outdoors in a ‘confessional-style’ video booth; Artist Corner – featuring a “Beyond the Doors” installation by Jeremy Collins; Industry Ideation – where attendees will be led in a series of quick, impromptu symposiums by Gregg Bagny; The Forest of Worthy Causes – which will showcase 100 Outdoor Nation projects that span the country and a range of outdoor activities; The Futurist Project build, where our community’s emerging talents will lead a spirited dialogue about the new customer and how they will connect with the outdoors; a live auction full of unique experiences to be won, live local music, great food and libations.
Les Stroud, Canadian musician, filmmaker and survival expert, best known for hosting the Discovery Channel television series Survivorman, has joined The Outdoor Foundation’s Outsiders Ball as the master of ceremonies. In addition to officiating, Les will perform with his band, the Campfire Kings, combining music with a dynamic multimedia experience.
