(Austin, TX- September 2, 2015)— After a long leg of the Ragnar Relay, runners can now embrace TriggerPoint™ Performance self-massage tools to prepare for the renowned relay race. As the Official Muscle Recoveryand Self-Massage Tools of the Ragnar Relay Series, TriggerPoint products will be available throughout the relay courses to offer targeted relief at each stage of the race.
During the Ragnar Relay, teams of 12 individuals run a relay covering 200 miles continuously over two days and one night. In the Ragnar Trail Relay, relay teams are comprised of 8 individuals who complete a 120-mile trail course for two days and one night.
“TriggerPoint is excited to support such an authentic running series that brings teams together and pushes personal limits,” said Marco Garsed, Senior Director of Marketing. “With so much time travelling in vans and so many miles logged throughout the race, TriggerPoint provides the necessary tools to help minimize muscle tightness to allow competitors to remain mobile throughout the relay.”
Throughout each relay exchange zone and medical tent, TriggerPoint’s handheld foam roller, the GRID® STK will be available for use by participants and staff. In addition, Ragnar participants will be able to purchase products onsite or through the virtual runner bag and the Ragnar store.
TriggerPoint staff will be onsite at four of the remaining seven 2015 Ragnar Races taking place in, Hampton Beach, Washington D.C., Napa Valley, and Las Vegas to help educate and provide product demonstrations.
TriggerPoint education can now also be accessed online through its new education portal that features a new foam rolling video series educating consumers with step-by-step instructions and information on best practices.
“Recovery is a crucial part of any running event – never mind a two-day, one-night race that spans 200-miles, said Ragnar Events’ CEO, Chris Infurchia. As such, we are elated to partner with TriggerPoint in providing Ragnarians massage tools along the course to help them cross the finish line together.”
The next Ragnar Relay takes place September 18 and 19, starting in Bretton Woods, New Hampshire and ending in Hampton Beach.
