VAIL, CO – September 19, 2013 – The Ultrarunning World Championship and the Ultra Race of Champions (UROC) have partnered with ORAL I.V. to provide runners with the best hydration aid product on the market. With this partnership, all runners participating in the event will have access to ORAL I.V. prior to the race and along the course. As the Ultrarunning World Championship, there is no better event for ORAL I.V. to make its debut into the long-distance running market.
“Running and competing at altitude can be very taxing, and dehydration is often a problem for many competitors,” says James Gill, the Event Director. “With ORAL I.V. available pre-race and on the course, the competitors will have access to an innovative hydration aid for this challenging event. I am really looking forward to the athletes’ feedback, as this partnership highly benefits all the competitors coming to the championship.”
The race includes three events, the Ultra Race of Champions 100K, the Über Rock 50Kand Cruxy Half Marathon. The Ultra Race of Champions course will start on Main Street in Breckenridge, Colorado and finish in Vail Village, crossing several high mountain passes. The 50K and Half Marathon courses will take place on Vail Mountain. A pre-race hydration strategy utilizing ORAL I.V. and proper water consumption is an ideal way to combat the possibility of dehydration during the event. ORAL I.V. also comes packaged in individual vials, making it very lightweight and easy to carry on long runs.
“We are very excited about this partnership with the Ultrarunning World Championship,” says Sandy Moul, Director of Communications for ORAL I.V. “ORAL I.V. aids the hydration process for individuals committed to peak performance, so long-distance runners especially will benefit from adding the product to their hydration plan. ORAL I.V. does not contain sugars, stimulants or artificial ingredients, which is very important for health-conscious runners. With the Ultra Race of Champions and Ultrarunning World Championship, ORAL I.V. could not have found a more suitable partner to present our product to this market. We hope ORAL I.V. will help competitors go the extra mile on race day.”
The Ultra Race of Champions is set to take place September 28, 2013 in Vail, Colorado. The Ultrarunning World Championship is expecting the most competitive international field ever assembled. www.ultraroc.com
