Therm-a-Rest® Introduces WaveCore™ Technology in New NeoAir™ Mattress

Therm-a-Rest, the Seattle-based leader in premium outdoor comfort, today introduced the new NeoAir Venture™ WV mattress—a two-season, lightweight air mattress for beginning and recreational backcountry users looking for the ultimate synergy between warmth, size, and cost for summertime camping trips.
Therm-a-Rest’s new WaveCore Technology doubles the warmth of the non-insulated NeoAir Venture WV mattress by slowing heat loss via a patent-pending single layer of horizontal wave baffles. The technology also delivers a unique level of stability and comfort while maintaining a low weight and price point.

In 2014, Therm-a-Rest also recreates its stalwart NeoAir Trekker™ mattress, transforming it from a summer mattress to a solid three-season mattress in the same vein as the original, award-winning NeoAir design that first hit the market in 2009. The redesigned mattress now features Therm-a-Rest’s ThermaCapture™ radiant heat technology embedded in its Triangular Core Matrix™ structure. The new technology boosts the NeoAir Trekker’s warmth by 50 percent—increasing its R-Value from 2.0 to 3.0—while reducing its weight by two ounces. It maintains the durability that first made the NeoAir Trekker model so popular.
Joining Therm-a-Rest’s Accessories line in 2014 is the new NeoAir Torrent™ Pump, a powerhouse of a pump that makes setting up camp easier with its ability to inflate a size large NeoAir mattress in less than two minutes. It operates on four CR123A batteries or with the included DC car adapter.
The NeoAir Venture WV, NeoAir Trekker and NeoAir Torrent Pump debut this summer at the Outdoor Retailer Summer Market in Salt Lake City, Utah. They’ll join the Therm-a-Rest mattress family online and at retail stores in January 2014.
