SAN DIEGO, CALIF. (Aug. 31, 2015) – Elliptical bicycle riders from across Europe will square off in the third annual ElliptiGO® European Championships on Sept. 6 in Aix-les-Bains, France. The race will climb 13.1 miles up Mont Revard, which is one of the mountain passes frequently traversed in the Tour de France. The route’s average incline of about 8% will present a formidable challenge to participants.
The event is open to all ElliptiGO riders. Currently, riders from seven countries have registered to participate, including defending champions Squash Falconer (UK) and Damien Douvry (France).
“The climb is challenging, as a championship course should be,” said D’Andrea Barr, international sales director at ElliptiGO. “The field of participants is stronger than ever, and we expect a hard-fought battle to the top.”

Barr said the event is also popular with many of the more casual ElliptiGO riders. “We have a strong community of riders throughout Europe. This weekend is their opportunity to come together, witness some extraordinary athletes pushing their limits, and commune with friends while enjoying the beautiful scenery around Aix-les-Bains.”
