Ticla debuts new collection of car camping gear for specialty retailers at ORSM

VENTURA, CALIFORNIA (July 18, 2013) — More than 43 million Americans will go camping this year … and Ticla wants them all to have a good time.

 A lifestyle camping company, Ticla (www.Ticla.com) unveils their collection of inspired and intuitive car camping gear at the upcoming Outdoor Retailer Summer Market show in Salt Lake City, Utah (Booth #PV952).

Framed by the tagline of Camp Better™, Ticla’s simple and clever debut includes tents, shelters, bags, pads and tarps – and aims to fill the spacious car camping gear gap between overly technical backpacking gear and over-cheapened value products.

“The goal of car camping is to enjoy yourself,” said Rich Hill, Ticla president and founder. “And the goal of Ticla is to create a car camping movement at specialty retail.”

Ticla’s unique perspective is the brainchild of Hill, a veteran outdoor industry executive with a lengthy official resume that includes work with Prana, Ibex and Patagonia. Hill’s unofficial resume includes countless car camping adventures, including an extended family camping trip down the Mexican coast where the idea for Ticla was born.

The Ticla audience is the full spectrum of campers who shop at specialty: every-weekend hardcores, festivalgoers and partiers, adventurous families, and even the reluctant camper.
