Timex, a leader in outdoor and sports performance timepieces, will showcase its robust portfolio of elite training instruments, fitness measurement devices, wellness aids and watches at Outdoor Retailer Winter Market 2011.

The brand will showcase a wide variety of collections from its extensive portfolio, including: the Timex® Ironman® Race Trainer™ Pro Kit, an ergonomic digital heart rate monitor designed for competitive multisport use; the Timex® Health Touch, an easy-to-use contact heart rate monitor that conveniently offers precise readings on the wrist with a simple fingertip touch; the Timex® Health Tracker™ watch, designed to help take the guesswork out of diet and exercise; the Timex® Ironman® All Day 50-Lap, a collection of fashionably functional watches designed to meet the dynamic lifestyles of active women, as well as new styling in the iconic Timex® Ironman® 50-Lap collection.

”Timex provides reliable, easy-to-use technology to help athletes of all levels cross their finish line – whether that goal is to win an Ironman or to walk more frequently,” said Heberto Calves, vice president of marketing at Timex. “This commitment is evident through Timex’s expansion simultaneously in the competitive training, fitness measurement and wellness markets.”

The Timex Ironman Race Trainer Pro Kit is an advanced digital heart rate monitor distinguished by its unique fit on the athlete’s wrist. The digital display of the watch rests on the side of the wrist, allowing the athlete to check heart rate, zone or time without turning his or her wrist or letting go of bike handlebars. Similar to the recently released Timex Ironman Race Trainer, this heart rate monitor system boasts an impressive array of fitness measurement features and wirelessly syncs with the user’s computer, allowing workouts to be saved and analyzed online. The Timex Ironman Race Trainer Pro Kit will be available in February 2011 in sports specialty retailers worldwide and on Timex.com, priced at $199.95.

The Timex Health Touch contact heart rate monitor is an easy-to-use heart rate monitor that conveniently offers precise heart rate readings on the wrist with a simple fingertip touch, without the need for a chest sensor. It boasts a number of useful features, including on-demand heart rate, a target zone with heart rate alert, and calories burned. Designed for fitness walkers and gym-goers, the watch also boasts a stopwatch, countdown timer, daily alarms, water resistance to 50 meters and INDIGLO® night-light. Available with a stainless steel top ring in a men’s grey case and a women’s black case, the Timex Health Touch contact heart rate monitor will be available in February 2011 at Sports Specialty retailers worldwide and on Timex.com priced at $59.95.

The Timex Health Tracker watch features a Walk Sensor and Diet Diary to help take the guesswork out of diet and exercise. After a simple set-up process and without any manual calibration, the watch automatically records steps, distance, calories burned and active time throughout the day by sensing natural swinging motions of the user’s arm. It can also discretely store the number of calories or units consumed, eliminating the need for a pen and journal at every meal. The watch motivates users to stay active by displaying cumulative daily activity on the front of the watch, and sounding an alert when a user is half-way to her daily goal. Designed specifically for women who are looking to lose weight or increase their daily activity, the watch also includes an intuitive Workout Mode with pace and distance, Seven-Day Activity Log, Countdown Timer, Alarms, 50 meter water-resistance and INDIGLO® night-light. Designed for everyday wear, the collection includes neutral, charcoal and twilight blue styles, and will be available in May 2011 worldwide and on Timex.com priced at $64.95.

Distinguished by its slender stainless steel top ring, chic silicon strap and adaptable color palette, the Timex Ironman All Day 50-Lap collection offers an array of essential sports timing features – including chronograph, interval timers and a training log – within an elegantly contemporary presentation that is fit for any social or professional setting. Available in plum, black or white, the collection is water resistant to 100 meters and boasts an INDIGLO® night-light for easy viewing in dark conditions. It features a wide range of sports timing functions, including: 50-lap memory recall for workout review; chronograph training log that stores workouts by date; 99-lap counter; two interval timers; three customizable alarms; two time zone to stay on track while travelling; built-in reminders to quickly and easily set the watch, and replaceable silicon strap. The collection will be available in March 2011 at Sports Specialty retailers worldwide and on Timex.com, priced at $64.95

The four new styles that make up the Timex Ironman 50-Lap collection, which for the first time include interval timers, feature an enlarged case design, expanded viewing area, and updated replaceable strap. The collection is equipped with a chronograph training log that stores workouts by date with best lap, average lap and total segment time; a 100-hour chronograph that displays lap or split times in large digits; a 50-lap memory recall; two interval timers; an automatic interval repetition counter, and a 99-lap counter, among other features. The product is water resistant to 100 meters and boasts an INDIGLO® night-light setting. Available in black/blue, black/orange, black/yellow and black/black styles, the Timex Ironman 50-Lap will be available in March 2011 in Sports Specialty retailers worldwide and on Timex.com, priced at $59.95.

Timex recently introduced Timex® Ironman® Global Trainer™ Bodylink® System, an all-in-one, GPS-enabled wrist device designed for elite performance. The product is technologically advanced for modern athletes, but does not sacrifice the reliability, ease-of-use and affordability that users have come to expect from Timex. The Global Trainer system is currently available for purchase at Sports Specialty retailers around the world and on Timex.com, priced from $299.95 to $359.95.
