{Issaquah, WA}—October 13-22, 2016, Combat Flip Flops will be sponsoring the Rebelle Rally, the first women’s off-road navigation rally raid in the United States, as well as the all-star The X Elles racing team of Rhonda Cahill and Rachelle Croft. The event will start in Lake Tahoe, CA and end in the dunes of southern California.
The Rebelle Rally blends the love of driving with the ultimate challenge of precise navigation, testing drivers skills over 7 days of competition. The off-road navigation rally will cover more than 2000 km through the Nevada and California deserts with no GPS or electronics. It is not a race for speed, but a unique and demanding event based on the elements of headings, hidden checkpoints, time, and distance using maps, compass, and road book.
“We are honored to be working with Combat Flip Flops,” said Rhonda and Rachelle of The X Elles. “Our vision to inspire and give women a voice around the globe is a perfect fit with what Combat Flip Flops accomplishes everyday through their products. We can’t wait to make history together in this first of its kind, all-women’s rally. The inaugural Rebelle Rally will truly test our navigational skills and stamina, but we’ve been training hard and are confident in our ability to take this head on. We’re ready.”
“Rhonda and Rachelle are survivors of abuse. They recovered, grew stronger, and now help others do the same; it’s symbolic of what we’re doing. The mission of Combat Flip Flops and its partners is to empower and educate victimized Afghan women, enabling them to shape their communities and make a difference,” said Griff, CEO/Co-Founder of Combat Flip Flops.
