TREW TOUR 2013-2014: Creating an Exceptional Experience for TREW Customers and Dealers

Hood River, Oregon (September 4, 2013) – TREW, a manufacturer of style-inspired, technical backcountry freeride outerwear and apparel, announces today the launch of the TREW Tour 2013-2014. On September 13th 2013, “HaRVey”, the company’s 35-foot RV, enters his second chapter with the TREW Tour and the new TREW mobile store. The RV will be a full-on retail store dedicated to working with TREW existing dealers and introducing the TREW brand to the masses at key events and locations throughout the western U.S. this fall and winter.

In 2008, armed with a 35-foot RV and 90 salesman samples, TREW set out to show the world that technical outerwear and apparel could be done differently. Five years and 60,000 miles later, “HaRVey” hits the road once again with the TREW Tour and the new TREW mobile store. “HaRVey” has undergone a full makeover including a sleek and professional interior retail space and new external graphics. “The mobile store will carry full inventory so we can showcase and sell our expanding line,” said Tripp Frey, TREW president. “The goal is to give our customers a great brand experience while supporting our dealers.”

The TREW Tour 2013-2014 has three goals:
1. Support Dealers! The mobile store will spend 2-5 days at key retailers throughout the fall and winter. When camped out at dealer locations, ALL SALES will run through the store, even if the store does not have a particular garment in stock. It’s a win-win for dealers:
•All sales through the dealer so the dealer earns the retail margin
•Dealer’s staff is educated and fired up – An educated staff can make a big difference for a growing brand like TREW.
•Great brand exposure for dealers. “HaRVey” gets noticed wherever he goes.
2. Generate TREW brand awareness by simply being visible in core communities around the western USA. The physical presence of the RV combined with targeted local media coverage will allow TREW to introduce the brand and product to new people every day.
3. Create an exceptional experience for TREW customers in non-dealer locations and at non-dealer events. The mobile store will have a presence at key industry events such as Teton Gravity Research “Way of Life” movie premieres and will set up shop in major metropolitan areas, such as San Francisco, Denver, and Seattle.

The TREW Tour launches on September 13th, 2013 from Doug’s Sports in Hood River, Oregon. The #TREWTOUR will cover the western USA and the first stops will include: Missoula and Bozeman, MT, Bend, OR and others.
