Trips for Kids in the Running for $1,000 Nonprofit Donation

Trips for Kids is one of three cycling-related non-profit organizations with the potential to win a $1,000 donation from an online contest sponsored by the cycling apparel retailer, Bicyclinghub.com.
The winner of the contest will be determined completely by Facebook votes and runs from now until September 14, 2012.
Supporters of the nonprofit are encouraged to log into Facebook, visit the Contest Homepage and cast their vote.
Since its inception in 1988, more than 90,000 underserved youths have participated in Trips for Kids programs across North America in chapters spread as far as Northern California to Nova Scotia and in 2 chapters in Israel. Each of the nonprofit’s 79 chapters is designed to meet the needs of the individual community, offering lessons in confidence building, achievement and environmental awareness.
About Trips for Kids
Trips for Kids is a national 501(c)3 nonprofit based in San Rafael, California. Trips for Kids started in 1988 as a grass roots effort by avid mountain biker, environmentalist, and Mountain Bike Hall of Fame inductee, Marilyn Price. Its programs give underserved youth a chance to experience the joy and challenge of mountain biking, while learning valuable life skills and an appreciation for the outdoors.
