Seattle, WA – UCO, creators of versatile and trusted essentials in heat, light, and power that can be used in the home or the outdoors, unveils a community of hand-picked individuals who display a respectful and passionate love for the outdoors.

The ambassador program, its members nicknamed UCO People, stems from UCO’s evolution in the outdoor market and their desire to hear feedback on and collaborate with outdoor enthusiasts who are exploring various activities daily. UCO has chosen five individuals who share the important commonality of a love for the outdoors.

The 2015 UCO People:

Daniel Callahan: An enthusiast of nature and gear, Daniel Callahan is an independent hiking guide in Yosemite and Big Sur, a mountain biker, videographer, father and husband.
Elena Pressprich: Photographer and student whose love for the outdoors takes over every free moment she has, Elena can often be found scrambling up or sliding down a mountain.
Eric Larsen:
An explorer of COLD places and an ultimate adventure-seeker, Eric has spent the last 15 years of his life traveling in some of the most remote and wild places left on earth.
Justin Lichter: With a resume of over 35,000 miles hiked (the equivalent of one and a half times around the Earth), Justin is only found indoors when planning for his next big adventure in the wild.
Steven Reinhold:
A Big City Mountaineer volunteer, snowboarder, climber, backpacker and traveler, Steven relishes in the small joys and takes no adventure for granted.

“We chose these individuals because of their passion and clear connection to the outdoors,” says Graeme Esarey, President of Industrial Revolution. “It is our hope that we can all learn a lot from this team through their adventures and through hands-on participation in our product development. The group is made up of unique and motivated individuals, and we’re looking forward to the inspiration they provide to UCO fans around the world.”

The relationship between the brand and its ambassadors will be a balance of give and take. UCO People will provide invaluable feedback on product, support UCO in marketing initiatives, and socially share images and reviews of product used in their daily lives. UCO will proudly support and promote the members on their website, social channels, and during trade shows and press announcements.
