BOULDER, COLO. (For Immediate Release) –Ultimate Direction, leaders in athlete hydration, is overhauling and updating the iconic Fastdraw hand-held and Access waist packs to provide runners with better fit, functionality, and performance for 2014. These styles will now comprise the Ultimate Direction Runner’s Collection, an assortment of easy to use and comfortable to wear hydration solutions for street or trail.

The Runner’s Collection places a premium on features, innovations, and construction that make hydration a seamless part of your run. Light and durable materials provide comfort and convenience while advanced designs make accessing your water and essentials easier than ever.

“For the Runner’s Collection, we took two of our most popular and enduring styles and updated them both for better comfort and performance for 2014,” said Buzz Burrell, Brand Manager for Ultimate Direction. “The original concepts were so good we wanted to keep a version of both of them in the line. Updated with new materials and better functionality, the Fastdraw and the Access are ready to address the needs of today’s runners.”

Available in 10-ounce, 20-ounce, and insulated 20-ounce versions, the Ultimate Direction Fastdraw hand-helds are the easiest way to bring water and a few essentials on any run. All three feature UD’s adjustable Cool Wick Air Mesh strap for a perfect fit, soft feel, excellent breathability, and superior moisture management. The Fastdraw 10 ($17.95), our most minimalist version, gives you 10 ounces of your favorite drink and just enough space for keys, gels, and cash. Based on the original Fastdraw, the most popular hand-held ever created, the new Fastdraw 20 ($26.95) gives 20 ounces of fluid capacity and plenty of room for your smart phone and other small items. With the same basic features as our Fastdraw 20, the Fastdraw 20 Extreme ($29.95) is insulated to keep your beverage warm or cold.

With four models to choose from, the Ultimate Direction Access line has a waist pack just right for you. Each features a semi-flexible bottle cage with TPU backing for easy bottle access and a secure friction fit. Cool Wick Air Mesh construction offers a bit of stretch for outstanding comfort, breathability, and performance. The Access 10 ($29.95) comes with a UD 10-ounce bottle while the Access 20 ($44.95) comes with a 20-ounce UD bottle with Kicker Valve. Both have a smart phone compatible pocket with bungee straps for added storage. Both are also available as the Access 10 Plus ($47.95) and the Access 20 Plus ($59.95) and an additional, removable pocket with removable gel flask and sleeve.

The Runners Collection will debut at the Outdoor Retailer Trade Show in Salt Lake City from July 31st to August 3rd in the Ultimate Direction booth #113. For more information, please email scott.kaier@americanrec.com.
