Urban outdoor brand leverages successful crowd funding campaign, adds new products
Philadelphia, PA (January 16, 2015)—In the wake of an exceedingly successful crowd-funding campaign, the mission-driven urban outdoor clothing and accessory brand United By Blue® is riding high into 2015 with an array of new styles and products. Debuting stylish, socially responsible, and innovative new apparel and accessories, United By Blue is proud to unveil the brand’s Fall 2015 lineup at the Winter Outdoor Retailer Tradeshow.
Last fall, United By Blue announced an ambitious new project to create a performance hiking sock entirely sourced, crafted, and packaged in the United States utilizing domestically sourced American Bison wool as the sock’s fiber foundation. The product, dubbed The Ultimate American Sock, was launched on Kickstarter in November. The five-week campaign raised over $140,000 and officially transitioned the socks from ambitious project to Fall 2015 product offering.
In addition to the Ultimate American Sock, the Fall 2015 United By Blue catalog features an expanded line of products, including a number of outer layers that blend style and function. Using organic materials, unique fiber combinations, and style that is as at home in the city as it is in the hills, United By Blue is a leading brand within the rapidly growing urban outdoor consumer category.
