Cotopaxi, G Adventures and MERCURYcsc Co-Host An Online Conversation on Brand-Led Activism
Bozeman, Mont. – February 23, 2016 – Consumers want brands to take the lead. According to the latest issue of The Pulse from Think T+O™, most consumers believe that brand activism is more effective than an individual speaking out or taking action. So how do brands lead them? On Wednesday, March 2, from 1-1:45 p.m. MST, Cotopaxi, G Adventures and MERCURYcsc will discuss this topic during an online conversation, Lead and They Will Follow.
Think T+O, a research effort boasting a proprietary panel of experiential travelers across North America, recently revealed that 46% of people who are passionate about travel and outdoors are interested in being part of activism efforts led by companies and brands, and another 45% are open to considering it.
A panel of industry experts will explore why brands can and should stand for something. They will discuss how brands can take the next step, moving beyond supporting a cause to making it part of their ethos. And they will examine how that commitment plays into a brand’s marketing messages and channels.
Panel hosts include Lindsey Kneuven, Chief Impact Officer at Cotopaxi; Jamie Sweeting, President at Planeterra Foundation and Vice President for Social Enterprise & Sustainability at G Adventures; and Mike Geraci, Chief Strategy Officer at MERCURYcsc. Also joining them will be a consumer who is a member of MERCURYcsc’s Think T+O™ Forum to provide reactions to what’s being discussed.
Cotopaxi creates innovative outdoor products and experiences that fund sustainable poverty alleviation, move people to do good, and inspire adventure. G Adventures is the largest small group adventure travel company in the world and offers socially and environmentally sensitive travel.
