Colorado Springs, Colo. (April 30, 2014) –USA Cycling is pleased to announce a three-year partnership with Osmo Nutrition as the official hydration sponsor to USA Cycling and Team USA Cycling.
Within this partnership, Osmo Nutrition will provide hydration and recovery products to USA Cycling athletes, teams and programs around the world as they train and race for Team USA Cycling. Osmo will also have a presence at several USA Cycling national championships where they will provide samples to competitors.
“Success for our athletes is about maximizing their power and endurance,” said Rob Borland, Chief Marketing Officer of USA Cycling. “If you’re thirsty, you’ve already lost 11 percent of your power, and there is no place for that in a bike race. Osmo’s scientifically based formulation is proven to deliver the hydration our athletes need to stay healthy and win races.”
Dr. Stacy Sims, Chief Research Officer and Co-Founder of Osmo Nutrition comments, “We are so happy to be working with USA Cycling. Since 2008, I have been working with Jim Miller and USA Cycling athletes by applying sport and nutrition science testing to achieve top end performance gains. It has been exciting to watch the positive impact that science and Osmo Nutrition has on the athletes, allowing them to reach their performance potential. We look forward to continued growth and success together.”
Osmo Nutrition’s line consists of three products — PreLoad Hydration, Active Hydration and Acute Recovery, all of which are scientifically based on sex differences, with unique products optimized for male and female physiologies.

It’s great to know that I’ll always have Active Hydration, Acute Recovery, and Preload Hydration on hand for my biggest races as I work towards the 2016 Olympics.”
-2012 Olympian, Bobby Lea
“Working with the Osmo team has been great. Not only do the products taste great, but they also take into consideration the needs and demands of being a female athlete. As they say, we are not small men! Additionally, Stacy has been working with our team this year and has been so helpful in how best to utilize Osmo products, especially in relation to the female cycle and just a great resource in understanding how to get your body to work the best under the demands of being an elite athlete.”
-Evelyn Stevens (Specialized-lululemon)
“Osmo is a vital part of my training/racing routine and I’ve had the pleasure of working closely with Stacy over the past year. The advice and guidance she has given me on nutrition and hydration has changed the way I train and race and has been a huge contributing factor to my success. To have a product that is formulated specifically for what female athletes require is incredible and an exciting step towards continuing to improve female athletics.”
