Vasque continues their support of the Leadville Race Series

In their continued dedication to the trail and the trail ready lifestyle, Vasque footwear is proud to announce their partnership with the 2011 Leadville Race Series.

The Leadville Race Series began in 1983 with the Leadville Trail 100 and only 45 runners. Since then the series has grown to three months of racing events with thousands of racers from all over the world who compete via foot and bike on some of the most grueling trails in the US for ‘The Race Across the Sky’.

Vasque trail athlete Duncan Callahan will be returning to the Leadville Race Series Trail Run 100 this year to defend his title as champion. Callahan has competed in the Leadville Trail Run 100 race four times with two first place wins and a third and seventh place finish under his belt.

Vasque Mindbenders will be worn by aid station captains at the Trail Run 100 and given to the winners of both the Mountain Bike 100 and Trail Run 100.
