Cold weather enthusiasts will say “bring on the snow” with the arrival of the insulated boot collection from Vasque. The new Fall ’12 line-up includes the Snowburban, Pow-Pow and Snowblime, all purposefully built footwear with supreme fit and versatility.
Winter adventures are most successful when feet are warm and dry. To keep feet warm, the Vasque insulated program utilizes 400 grams of 3M™ Thinsulate™ Ultra, a premium insulator used in top quality outerwear, camping gear and footwear. Feet will also remain dry in the wettest of winter conditions with the usage of UltraDry™, a Vasque proprietary waterproof membrane.
Additionally, the collection delivers sleek, low-profile silhouettes for enhanced all-day comfort and greater flexibility. Each model is snowshoe compatible and comes equipped with an integrated heel kick to make boot removal effortless.
The Snowburban, like its name, is built to be tough on winter trails. Designed with an 8” upper, rubber toe cap, compression molded EVA midsole with a TPU mid-foot shank, and an ultra-aggressive outsole for traction in the snow, the Snowburban is ready to take on the gnarliest of conditions. Available for men in Turkish Coffee/Russet Orange and Beluga/Old Gold. MSRP $150.
The women’s counterpart to the Snowburban is the Pow-Pow. Designed with the same midsole and outsole performance package, snowy winter trails are no challenge for this boot. The perfect complement between function and fashion, the Pow-Pow has a waterproof suede upper and faux fur trim. Available in fresh colors such as Jet Black/Tender Shoots, Turkish Coffee/Rumba Red and Gargoyle/Bone White. The MSRP is $140.
Taking the lead from the heritage inspired Talus WP hiking boot and the Wasatch backpacking boot, the athletically nimble Snowblime is a mid-height insulated boot that offers supreme traction and underfoot protection on long winter hikes. The Snowblime has enhanced comfort with the inclusion of a stretchy panel of Cushin® at the top of the tongue that cradles and protects the shin from excess rubbing as a hiker trudges through the snow. Available in men’s in Turkish Coffee/Bone White and women’s in Turkish Coffee/Scuba Blue. The MSRP is $140.
