Vasque Mindbender GTX Wins Outside China Gear of the Year Award

Vasque footwear is pleased to announce that Outside China magazine has selected their Mindbender GTX for the 2011 Gear of the Year award in the Trail Running category, because of their stability, fit and innovative GORE-TEX® bootie design.

The Mindbender GTX is one of the first commercialized trail running shoes to use a new GORE-TEX® footwear laminate for conformable fit.This innovative and revolutionary shoe offers the trail runner the best scenario possible, waterproof/breathable comfort and protection in a superb fitting shoe. This is accomplished through the application of a new pattern that utilizes a stretch component panel to create a custom bootie exclusive to the Mindbender shoe. The stretchpanel is located over the metatarsal heads and instepallowing for greater flex and freedom of motion in the forefoot. Additionally the gusset folds are eliminated by the use of a free floating tongue design which reduces weight and makes for an even better fit.
