Vasque’s New Inhaler Collection Offers a Breath of Fresh Air for Hikers

Red Wing, MN – Addressing performance hikers’ need for an agile, versatile shoe for fast hiking, the Inhaler collection from Vasque footwear offers the ultimate in breathability and comfort without compromising the stability needed when carrying a pack. The Inhaler collection includes a mid-version with GORE-TEX® and a Low version that comes with or without GORE-TEX®.
Built upon an Equalizer Last with an athletic EVA midsole, the lightweight Inhaler collection includes Vasque’s most breathable performance hikers which feature a structural ventilation of mesh, perforated foam and air-permeable toe and heel counters for maximum air flow. The combination of the Vasque Exclusive Vibram® Pneumatic outsole and Megagrip rubber gives hikers significant traction over a variety of terrain while still providing comfort and protection, so they can move quickly along the trail with confidence.
“The Inhaler Collection fills a niche in the performance hiking category that has been missing,” states Brian Hall, Director of Product Development. “We’ve taken what we have learned from long distance thru-hikers and applied it to a shoe that we expect to be as popular for them as it will for day hikers and those going out for weekend excursions.”
Both the mid and low versions of the Inhaler are built upon the same bottom package. The mid-version is dubbed, Inhaler GTX, and is only available with GORE-TEX® and comes in two colors for men and two for women with an MSRP of $159.99. The Inhaler Low is available in a GORE-TEX and non-GORE-TEX version and comes in two colors for men and two for women as well. MSRP $139.99 w/ GORE-TEX and $119.99 w/o GORE-TEX. In addition to the Inhaler line, Vasque is bringing back an updated version of the popular Breeze Low, the Breeze 2.0 Low. Taking the high abrasion resistant mesh and leather upper from the number one selling Breeze 2.0, Vasque customized the EVA midsole with a TPU instep plate for a low-cut shoe that is lightweight, flexible, durable and comfortable for the long haul on the trail. Vibram’s Contact sole delivers grippiness for all-terrain hiking and the Breeze Low 2.0 is available with or without GORE-TEX. MSRP $149.99 w/ GORE-TEX and $129.99 w/o GORE-TEX.
