Mobile Bike Shop Velofix has just announced its sponsorship of the Malibu Gran Cookie Dough, bringing pre and post-ride bicycle support to this premier riding event hosted by Cannondale Drapac Pro Cyclist, Phil Gaimon.

“My two favorite things are climbing mountains and eating cookies,” says Gaimon. “And thanks to the beauty of Malibu and the taste of Jeff Mahin’s M Street Kitchen, I’m proud to offer you the very best of both.”

Velofix is changing the game with the largest fleet of Mobile Bike Shops in North America, whose premium mobile service and bike delivery platform is already 60 franchises strong in both Canada & the United States. Participants at the Cookie Fondo can use Velofix’s easy, online booking system to reserve premium bike build, tuning, and breakdown services, ensuring their bikes are in top rolling form and ready to tackle some of Southern California’s most challenging roads. Those planning on taking advantage of VeloFix’s services at the fondo may learn more and book a service at velofix.com.

“This is a world-class event that we’re proud to sponsor,” says Velofix Co-Founder Chris Guillemet. “We want to make sure that no matter where the participants are traveling from, their pre-ride needs are in good hands, and all they should worry about is riding and eating cookies.”

About Velofix

Founded with a passion for cycling, Velofix was launched in Vancouver in 2012 by Chris Guillemet, Boris Martin, and Davide Xausa, who all share a passion for cycling and the common belief that bicycles can help change the world.

Recognized by Entrepreneur magazine as “one of the most impressive mobile franchises,” Velofix has also been featured on the CBC’s Dragon’s Den (Canada’s version of Shark Tank), which resulted in Jim Treliving coming on board as an investor. Charles Chang of Lyra Growth Partners has also invested in Velofix. Currently, 55 franchises operate in every major Canadian market and several key American markets. Velofix currently has plans to expand to a total of 100 franchises across North America by 2017.

About the Malibu Gran Cookie Dough
The Malibu Gran Cookie Dough is a day of bikes, cookies and fun dreamed up by pro cyclist Phil Gaimon. Riders may choose between one of three challenging routes – including the premier “Double Fudge” route, which is “nearly crazy by all measurable standards.” Here, participants will savor some of the very best roads in Southern California, enjoy fully stocked rest stops, neutral support from Mavic, and cookies baked by Jeff Mahin of the M Street Kitchen in Santa Monica at the top of every punishing climb.
