Veramonte, a leading Chilean winery, is partnering with the National Geographic Channel (NGC) in the summer-long “Dare to Make a Difference” campaign to raise awareness for and support the National Geographic Society’s global conservation efforts. The “Dare to Make a Difference” campaign, derived from NGC’s tagline “Dare to Explore,” launches June 15 and may be featured in more than 1100 retail locations nationally.

Consumers can receive a free DVD sampler of NGC’s most popular programming including Dog Whisperer with Cesar Milan, Megastructures, Is It Real?, and Relentless Enemies by mailing in a coupon found at participating retailers or by logging on to www.ngcveramonte.com , which will also feature conservation tips and links to relevant sections of National Geographic Society’s website. Veramonte will also make a donation to the National Geographic Society in support of the promotion.

“Dare to Make a Difference” promotional elements include co-branded Veramonte and NGC in-store displays, on-air spots nationally on NGC, spots on NGC VOD, the on-demand service that reaches more than 15 million households, and off-channel buys in more than a dozen markets nationally, including New York, Houston and Atlanta.

National Geographic Society (NGS) is one of the world’s largest non-profit scientific and educational organizations. The National Geographic Society’s programs help increase and diffuse geographic knowledge while promoting conservation of the world’s cultural, historical and natural resources.

“Veramonte’s consumers lead active, adventurous lifestyles and care about preserving our planet, making them an excellent promotional partner for the National Geographic Channel,” said Steve Schiffman, NGC’s executive vice president of marketing and new Media. “There is also a strong fit with the lifestyle and purchasing habits of NGC’s upscale demographic.”

“Veramonte’s commitment to producing the highest-quality wines through sustainable farming practices and our support of land conservation is in-line with National Geographic Society’s mission,” says Jennifer Watson, marketing manager for Veramonte. “Both our national retail partners and our consumers feel good about supporting organizations that help our planet.”

Veramonte’s commitment to conservation includes its dedication of 10,000 acres to a natural greenbelt located in a 13,000 acre vineyard and winery estate in Chile’s Casablanca Valley. Renowned for exceptional value and vibrant, fresh flavors, Veramonte wine resonates with outdoor adventure seekers everywhere.
