Verde Fulfillment USA Opens Second Location on East Coast

Verde Fulfillment USA, known as the premier order-fulfillment, warehousing and logistics company for the sporting goods and outdoor industry, has opened a second location on the east coast of the US. Verde’s second facility is located in Wilkes-Barre, PA, a major transportation and fulfillment hub for the east coast.

“When we started Verde in late 2007, the goal was to create a “best in class” order-fulfillment company with 50,000 sf and 18 employees within 10 years. We did it in five. Then we wanted to have an east coast location within 15 years. We did it in eight,” said Greg McRoberts, President and Founder of Verde. “We had a soft-opening in late September 2015 in the new location, just to make sure all processes were sound and dialed in correctly. Without our incredible teams working behind the scenes day and night, none of this could have happened.”

Having multiple locations for client inventory is not a good match for every brand, McRoberts states, but for the right type of inventory and order needs, it can be a game-changer. He and his teams make sure all of their clients understand the pros/cons and costs of adding additional locations. “Our cloud-based system allows both facilities to act as one cohesive system by shipping from multiple locations, doing inventory transfers and getting orders to customers around the country just that much quicker.”
