Durango, Colo., and Jackson Hole, Wyo., Nov. 30, 2009 – Two of the outdoor industry’s best-recognized and successful public relations agencies, Verde PR & Consulting and Base Camp Communications, will merge Dec. 1, creating the most broad-reaching and integrated PR firm in the outdoor space. The new firm will retain the name Verde PR & Consulting

Along with combining staffs
and client rosters, the resulting firm melds two different but successful and complementary approaches to the fast changing field of public relations. Moving forward, Verde PR & Consulting offers expanded bandwidth and full integration of the core services both agencies have offered for much of the last decade – strategic brand communications, media relations, integrated social and digital media programs, events, and communication/marketing consulting. Mike Geraci, founder and director of Base Camp Communications, joins Verde as a Partner and serves as Vice President, Strategic Development Director. Backcountry.com, SCARPA, Princeton Tec and Kona Bikes join Verde PR as clients, effective immediately.

Verde PR & Consulting will be headquartered in existing offices in Durango, CO, and Jackson Hole, WY. The combined company serves 24 clients and employs a staff of 14.
