RANDOLPH, VT — Vermont Glove, a family-owned, small batch glove maker, has partnered with Press Forward PR for media relations, brand development and communication strategy.
“We are thrilled to partner with Press Forward as we look to bring broad national attention to a well loved Vermont brand,” described Sam Hooper, owner and CEO of Vermont Glove.
Vermont Glove has built functional gloves for tradespeople, utility professionals, and people who use their hands since 1920. The company has operated out of their current factory — Randolph’s former Whiting Milk Creamery — since the 1950s. The operation was formerly known as Green Mountain Glove.
Hooper took over ownership of Vermont Glove in 2017 and in that time worked to upgrade the factory’s energy systems, achieving their 2019 goal of net-zero carbon emissions. A solar array on the factory’s roof provides electricity for all production operations, and the building’s heat comes from renewable wood pellets. Rebranded as Vermont Glove in 2019, the family-run shop sells top-quality gloves built under a brand ethos of social responsibility, environmental stewardship, and hard work.
“In addition to being an amazing product, Vermont Glove’s history, commitment to community and forward-thinking brand make this a perfect collaboration. Theirs is a story we’re truly thrilled to be telling,” described Press Forward founder Andrew Gardner.
Beyond a commitment to environmental sustainability, Vermont Glove has made equitable business practices — livable wages for workers and cultivating relationships with other Vermont businesses a priority.
“Our social and environmental ethic is the piston that drives our company,” continued Hooper. “By employing sustainable energy, renewable materials and sensible designs, we make better gloves, with a lower carbon footprint that will last, so you won’t have to buy another pair for a really long time.”
