Vibram®, the worldwide leader in high performance soles, announces an exciting contribution to the world of climbing with XSGrip™2 and XS Edge™, the next generation of XSGrip, a substantially stickier climbing compound.Both La Sportiva and SCARPA will be introducing shoes with Vibram XSGrip2 and XSEdge soles at Summer OR.
Refined after testing by climbers of varied styles and levels of expertise, on mixed indoor and outdoor surfaces, the XSGrip2 and XSEdge soles delivered outstanding precision and stability, and performance remains consistent even in extreme hot or cold climates. The compounds are ideal for a number of climbing applications including: bouldering, lead climbing, difficult indoor and outdoor climbing and climbing on extremely smooth, polished surfaces.Shoes with the new compounds will be available at retail in spring 2010 from La Sportiva and Scarpa.
