SkirtSports (www.skirtsports.com), the leader in the running skirt category, is excited to bring the SkirtChaser 5k Race Series to more cities and runners around the country and is opening up the nomination process to the public. The SkirtChaser 5k is a race unlike any other, where the women start first in a “Catch Me†wave, and the men start three minutes later, in the “Skirt Chaser†wave. Female registrants are provided with a limited edition Race Skirt from SkirtSports to wear during the run, and the first athlete to cross the finish line, male or female, wins $500.00! A rousing block party follows the race, with a happy hour atmosphere featuring great food, live music and a fashion show.
After listening to the positive feedback, support and requests, SkirtSports is looking to expand the SkirtChaser 5k circuit to six more cities in 2010. “We pride ourselves on listening to our customers and fans. To vote for a city, visit www.skirtchaser5k.com and choose from the list of more than 20 cities vying to host this incredible 5k event. Voting starts Thursday, September 17 and continues through October 30. The next SkirtChaser5k Race Series sites that SkirtSports will pursue will be announced on Monday, November 9. Voters can follow the process on Twitter @skirtchaser5k to receive updates on which cities are in the lead.
After voting ends and the SkirtChaser 5k sites are revealed, everyone who voted for the winning cities will be entered in a drawing to win two Deluxe SkirtChaser 5k entries, which includes a SkirtSports “Catch Me If You Can†skirt, Coolmax shirt, visor and entry to the block party.
