We will draw one dealer name each day on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from the list of those dealers who have an appointment for that day. If you want on increase your odds of winning you may also fill out a brief questionnaire regarding the CAPRA and add it to another drawing for 2 other axes that will be given away each day.
By making an appointment to see us at the show we’ll be able to show you the new CAPRA and discuss why it is going to be one of the best new axes on the market. We’ll also be able to discuss several Show Specials that we’ll offer dealers this year.

PS– Here are some comments from professionals who used prototypes of the CAPRA as a part of our
design and development process in 2005 and 2006.
“There is very nice feel of the head of the axe in the palm when using in piolet canne. We also noted that the spike was good, particularly when anchoring with the axe at a break. The flat design allows us to auger a bit with it when trying to get it into firm snow. I personally think that’s real important for this type of an axe.†Phil Ershler, International Mountain Guides Director after using the Capra while guiding climbs of Mt. Vinson in 2005 and Mt. McKinley in June, 2006.
“It’s a great lightweight mountaineering axe. It climbs well, is sturdy, light, and comfortable
to carry. Carrying a axe like this is the way to go on long mountaineering routes–it is light in the hands and you hardly know it is there when it’s on your backpack. I had a couple of nice ice axes to choose from–in the end I took the Capra to the top of the world.†Justin Merle, IMG Guide immediately following his successful climb of Mount Everest earlier this spring.
“I was immediately impressed by the look and feel of the Capra. My first impressions
were confirmed when I used it to summit Mt. Shasta this summer…it is a great new
design and I’ll be sure to have one for my future trips.” Jarod Trow, Executive Director
of Peak Rescue Institute.
