BOULDER, COLO. (August 5, 2015) – Wenzel (www.wenzelco.com), a leader in providing recreation equipment to families for over 120 years, is expanding its tent, pack, and shelter options for Spring 2016 featuring more convenience and the comforts of home. Specifically, Wenzel will introduce the Open Air Fly tent technology, an enhanced pack line in various sizes and styles, and two outdoor shelters. Wenzel will debut the product lines at Outdoor Retailer Summer Market August 5-8, 2015 at booth #10026.
“Our mission is not only to introduce families to the outdoors, but also, to show them how accessible it is,” said Steve Nadler, vice president of Mass Brands at Exxel Outdoors. “Our products, available at affordable price points, enable consumers to truly enjoy their surroundings in comfort. Whether it’s star gazing, keeping cool in the shade, or enjoying s’mores, we paid great attention to detail.”
The Open Air Fly tent technology enables consumers to open and close windows through both the tent body and fly, combining the convenience of a single walled tent with the weather protection and ventilation of a double walled tent. From inside the tent, consumers pull down on the two parallel Open Air Fly zippers and enjoy the fresh air and scenery. The Open Air Fly is featured in the Acacia four person and six person tent and in the Sycamore eight person tent, with prices starting at $99.95. Wenzel will continue to offer tents and screen houses with the odorless and invisible Wenzel Insect Armour™ technology to effectively repel mosquitoes and other insects for enjoyable, bug free camping.
Wenzel’s FLUX pack line has a lumbar suspension system featuring padded air mesh back panels for ventilation. The FLUX line is available in sizes ranging from five to 50 liter capacity, starting at $35.95. All FLUX packs are compatible with the FLUX Multi-Use Reservoir, which includes both a hydration tube for reservoir use and a cap and ring for soft water bottle use. The Multi-Use Reservoir has Microban® antimicrobial technology to prevent the growth of harmful bacteria.
In the shelter category,Wenzel will introduce the Grotto, a cabana that protects from the sun without hindering views. Priced at $59.95, the Grotto has a large front entry for easy in and out and includes sandbags to secure its four corners during use. The mesh panel door closes completely providing ventilation, while preserving the view and keeping bugs from going inside.
The Solaro Shade has a moveable shade wall for additional shielding options and has pre-attached guy ropes for added stability, with prices ranging from $79.95-99.95. The Solaro Screen House features front and rear inverted “T” style zipper doors, and large mesh walls to keep insects out.
