VANCOUVER, B.C. – This winter season, four premier British Columbia ski resorts or helicopter- and snowcat-skiing operations chose Vancouver-based Westcomb to supply outerwear for their guides, ski-school instructors and other resort staff.

Starting this winter season, Westcomb outfitted staff at Whitewater Winter Resort, Valhalla Powder Cats, and Snowwater Heli Skiing, all located near Nelson, B.C. In addition, Revelstoke Mountain Resort, near Revelstoke, B.C., also chose Westcomb to outfit its ski-school instructors starting this winter.

Gabriel Cote, sales director for Westcomb, said developing partnerships like this with core outdoor operations is a two-way street for the five-year-old apparel brand.

“These kinds of relationships are great for us, because they speak to the quality of our apparel. Operations of this caliber only buy gear that meets rigid performance and durability standards,” Cote said. “Beyond that, it also puts hundreds more of our jackets and pants out there into extreme everyday use, via programs where we get amazing ongoing feedback about how to continue to make our products better.”

These new partnerships for Westcomb add to several others where Westcomb apparel is in daily professional use. Westcomb has a multi-year contract to outfit rangers with BC Parks. The company also supplies outerwear to the British Columbia Conservation Corps as well as ski instructors with Vancouver Adaptive Snow Sports, which trains skiers with disabilities, including Paralympic athletes.
