CHICAGO, IL (Sept. 28, 2009) – Wilson baseball and softball brands recently launched online training sites aimed at retail salespeople, handing dealers a powerful tool for improving conversations on the sales floor and simplifying employee purchase programs.
Wilson partnered with online training leader 3point5.com for the project, which built training Web sites for Wilson, DeMarini and ATEC baseball and softball brands.
3point5.com contracts with manufacturers to build entertaining, testable training that educates salespeople on brand, technology and product lines. Retail salespeople log on for free, then must pass entertaining “Edu-Games†to earn deep discounts on the products they sell.
After salespeople pass tests on the latest technology and product lines, 3point5.com handles the employee purchase process online, and retail managers can easily vet participants to ensure that only those selling the products benefit from the discounts.
“3point5.com allowed us to build consistent, updatable training that can reach our salespeople anywhere they have access to a computer,†said Tim Simundza, digital marketing manager for Wilson baseball and softball. “We are confident this step will improve conversations on the sales floor and succeed in passing crucial product information on to our consumers.â€
The recent launches strengthen 3point5.com’s reputation as the online training leader across several industries, including Team Sports, according to 3point5.com CEO Duncan Robins.
“Team sports is huge training market that 3point5.com is uniquely positioned to tackle,†Robins said. “We’re extremely pleased that baseball and softball industry market leaders like Wilson are rolling out online training using our proven methodology, and we’re confident it will position their sales force to better connect with customers.â€
