Share ideas and concepts in product development, make new contacts and create new business in an evolving community. The event is adjacent to Project OR, presenting the latest in outdoor fashion ingenuity.

Kathy Swantko, FabricLink Network founder, explains how this contest and event benefit the both attendees and manufactures. “The show is an intense time for buyers and sellers alike. I have had a private goal to bring more cohesion to the textile industry. This happy hour mixer with attention to the Design Center, has been a long-term goal come to fruition. There is no better time than now to pull together as an industry, exchange ideas, and make new contacts to benefit our community.”

Swantko and the FabricLink Network have organized and produced 12 panel discussions over the past six years.
These panels’ of experts address pressing textile issues facing the marketplace. Last winter, Fabriclink.com with sister brand The Technical Center.com and TexBase textiles, presented the timely and controversial topic of “Caution: Restricted Substance Legislation—Ripple Effects Throughout the Supply Chain.” The discussion addressed product safety regulations and what they mean to business—with a pressing date for all to comply. The entire supply change has been effected, although positive, this transition can mean inventory that can be unsafe and illegal to sell.

“Swantko’s close association and expertise in textile sourcing and design schools have been a true asset to the development and concept behind Project OR,” comments Outdoor Retailer Show Director, Kenji Haroutunian.

The panel discussions have created a community for the design and textile industry, the Textile Mixer seeks to further this cooperation. In addition to the Design Center and panel discussions, for three shows running,

Swantko and her team have been a fundamental component to the success of New Project OR event and the value built into the Design Center.
