Winter Trails had a highly successful event weekend this past Saturday, January 8. With good weather in almost every part of the country, the early attendance numbers are very strong. Preliminary reports are showing comparable attendance numbers for this year trending about 10% higher than last year in those that have reported.

“This is very exciting to see”, stated Reese Brown, Winter Trails Administrator. “We hope this trend continues as the rest of the numbers come in over the next two weeks.”

Participants at this year’s event were treated to a great introduction of snowshoeing and cross country skiing at over 80 event sites nationwide. “Mt. Hood was beautiful! We are HOOKED!! Thank you – pure joy!” stated a participant on Facebook of an Oregon event.
