Millions of people have enjoyed the unique beauty and hand-crafted appeal of finished Case knives for over a century. Now millions can enjoy a rare opportunity to see how Case knives are made from inside the Case factory, in a new episode of the HOW IT’S MADE television series, which airs at 9:00 p.m. on Friday, February 22nd on the Science Channel, part of the Discovery Networks.

Case was contacted back in June of 2007 about the possibility of being included in an upcoming HOW IT’S MADE show. In late September, a team of production personnel from Montreal, Canada arrived at the Case plant to document the company’s knife making process. The group would spend an entire day inside the factory, aided by a team of Case Associates who would assist in script editing, film production and post-production activities.

Friday’s program will be repeated several times after its initial broadcast. Viewers should check their local cable and satellite networks for for additional show dates and times. The program featuring Case may be listed as “HOW IT’S MADE Series 4, Episode 24: Pocket Knives, Soapstone Products, Electric Pole Transformers and Traditional Snowshoes.”

HOW IT’S MADE is broadcast to an estimated 25 million viewers across North America on the Discovery Channel (U.S., Canada, U.K.), The Science Channel (U.S.), and Discovery Kids (U.S. and U.K.). Some episodes are translated and broadcast to another estimated 75 million viewers in countries like France, Italy, Germany, Spain, Ireland, Australia, Iceland, and throughout Latin America. The first four seasons of the show are currently available on DVD from Maj Productions and may be obtained by emailing plachapelle@productionsmaj.com. Additional seasons will be forthcoming.
