Chris Mastores is third addition in six months to Wyoming Whiskey’s new sales force
Kirby, Wyo. (Sept. 14, 2015) –Wyoming Whiskey, maker of award-winning traditional small batch bourbon from an untraditional place, has hired Chris Mastores as Rocky Mountain regional sales director. Mastores’ territory includes: Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, Texas, Idaho, Utah and Washington.
Mastores will work under the direction of Wyoming Whiskey’s VP and National Sales Director, Frank Sacca. Sacca was hand-selected by Wyoming Whiskey in April to lead rapid national expansion. Within two months of his hire, Sacca led Wyoming Whiskey’s expansion throughout the Midwest and down to Kentucky and Tennessee. Soon after, he hired John Boccino to lead regional sales in the Northeast territory and Atlantic seaboard states. Mastores marks the third member of Wyoming Whiskey’s growing sales force and is based in Denver, Colorado.
Mastores joins Wyoming Whiskey with over 11 years of experience in the spirits industry. Over that span, he has worked for both sides of the distributor and supplier partnership. In 2005, he collaborated with the concept and implementation of YES Vodka brands’ go-to-market strategy, ultimately launching and managing new and existing markets. In 2012, he joined Proximo Spirits, managing 14 wholesalers in the Tennessee market. In the two years following, Chris oversaw programming and execution of on-premise sales in the state of Illinois. Chris was an integral part of undertaking launch and market strategies on numerous innovations and line extensions.
“With Wyoming Whiskey’s growth came the need for a dedicated sales team committed to launching and managing sales in new and existing markets. Filling the national sales director role was the first and most important hire. Adding Chris Mastores and John Boccino were the second and third steps of our long range sales plan,” said David DeFazio, Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer at Wyoming Whiskey. “Since April, we have launched in 14 new markets thanks to the hard work of this sales team. Before long Wyoming Whiskey will be available in all major on and off premise establishments with the help of our distribution partners. ”
In just six months under the strategic guidance of Frank Sacca, Wyoming Whiskey has expanded its distribution from just 12 western states to 26 markets, including: Colorado, Delaware, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Dakota, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Washington, Washington D.C., Wisconsin, Wyoming.
To support such rapid national expansion, this year Wyoming Whiskey has also invested in the support of a designated public relations team at Verde Brand Communications. They have also brought on a full-time internal marketing manager based in Wyoming named Elena Oxford.
