X-BIONIC Functional Sportswear has just been awarded the highly prestigious GOOD DESIGN® award for their Accumulator Series technology by The Chicago Athenaeum international museum of architecture and design. This technology combines the highest levels of moisture and climate regulation that neutralize environmental influences providing superior comfort at the coldest temperatures. X-BIONIC Functional Sportswear is distributed by LOWA boots in the U.S.

The mission of The Chicago Athenaeum international museum is the advancement of public education about the value of good design and how design can positively impact the human environment. Each year they present their GOOD DESIGN Awards Program for the most innovative and cutting-edge industrial, product, and graphic designs produced around the world. It is the oldest and most prestigious awards program organized worldwide. The emphasis of the program is on quality design, function, and aesthetic using standards beyond ordinary consumer products and graphics and that push the envelope for competitive products in the world marketplace. Winning products will be part of the museums’ permanent design collection.

Designed in Switzerland and produced in Italy, X-BIONIC® Functional Sportswear includes underwear and second layers designed to regulate the body’s temperature. Sweating is a natural function that helps the body to cool itself. X-BIONIC wicks away excess moisture while retaining just enough to aid the body in not overheating.
