X Games Goes Plastic Bottle-Free, so Klean Kanteen Goes to X

ESPN’s Winter X Games 14 begins this Thursday in Aspen, CO and Klean Kanteen®, the company that changed the way people stay hydrated with the first BPA-free, stainless steel water bottle, will be there to celebrate X Games going plastic bottle-free.
Klean Kanteen has partnered with the X Games to provide 2,600 co-branded Klean Kanteens to the staff, production crews, media, VIP’s and special guests of this year’s games. The company will also be sponsoring water refill stations to be located throughout the event venue and back of house areas to service an expected crowd of over 60,000 spectators.
The sponsorship comes on the heels of Klean Kanteen joining the Action Sports Environmental Coalition (ASEC), an organization focused on empowering action sports industry fans and brands to become role models for sustainability.

There is so much synergy and alignment of values and mission between the brands,” stated ASEC Founder Frank Scura. “We have been working with the X Games staff on their Greening Initiative from the beginning and recognize that they are always looking for areas to progress and improve their environmental platform.
