Reaffirming its commitment to expand customer service initiatives to all U.S. regions, Yakima today named two new distributors, The Hawley Company (www.hawleyusa.com), a leading bicycle parts and accessories distributor in Lexington, South Carolina and Liberty Mountain (www.libertymountain.com), an outdoor distributor of over 600 brands of gear and accessories based in Salt Lake City, Utah. Products are available for purchase immediately through these new distributors focusing on independent specialty cycling, climbing and outdoor camping retailers.

“These new relationships strengthen Yakima’s ability to better serve our customers, delivering product to their shelves quickly and efficiently,” said Ron Ten Berge, vice president of sales and business development for Yakima. “The Hawley Company and Liberty Mountain offer excellent customer service, attention to detail and an abundance of inventoried product to meet the needs of our current dealers’ while enhancing Yakima’s ability to extend the brand to new retail partners.”

These new distributors compliment the existing relationships with Yakima’s current distributor partners, Hans Johnsen of Texas and Quality Bicycle Parts of Minnesota, providing excellent regional coverage and shortening overall delivery times. Independent dealers are able to combine Yakima orders with orders from other brands saving time, money and avoiding minimum freight charges.

Adding these new partners is a specific example of Yakima’s overarching strategy to make their organization more customer-centric and easier to do business with. Furthermore, the introduction of these distributors falls in line with a number of improvements Yakima has made over the last 18 months, for the benefit of dealers, including opening a west coast distribution center and the launch of a B2B ordering system.

“The strength of the Yakima brand and their position as the premiere rack manufacturer enhances our overall product offering in the outdoor category,” said Mark Drennan, Liberty Mountain camping product manager.” “We are proud to offer Yakima’s excellent product line to our customers and look forward to a long-term, mutually beneficial partnership.”
