Yakima’s Classic Boat Mounts are Reimagined for Spring 2017

Lake Oswego, OR, August 2, 2016 – In 1979, Yakima Products, Inc. was born out of the desire to make transporting kayaks easier. The brand’s dedication to water sports is evident in its Spring 2017 products. Yakima has redesigned its core boat mount line so that they are more versatile than ever, with universal bar attachment that accommodates round bars, aero bars, and factory bars alike. The new DeckHand, HandRoll and JayHook have also been streamlined and upgraded with features that make them more secure and easier to use.

DeckHand

Beautifully simple and easy to load, the DeckHand saddles are flexible, conforming to the hull for a super-secure, full-contact carry. They are also felt-padded, protecting the boat during loading, unloading, and transporting.

Quick, tool-free installation makes it easy to attach and lock the DeckHand to any cross bar. Sold in pairs, they can be combined with rollers, such as the the HandRoll, or another pair of DeckHand saddles for a custom set-up.

HandRoll

Designed to help get any type of kayak up to the roof, these padded rollers provide load assistance with grip, stability and protection. The HandRoll features durable TPU rubber padded rollers that pivot and adjust to the hull shape for stable loading. The rollers then lock out to secure the boat while traveling.

The HandRoll has unprecedented out-of-box ease. The tool-free installation makes it easy to attach and lock the mounts to any crossbar. Sold in pairs, they can team with another set of rollers, or a pair of the new DeckHand saddles for a custom configuration.
