Yakima's SkyBox Hits Retail May 2006

BEAVERTON, Ore. (April 24, 2006) – Yakima, a leading designer and manufacturer of vehicle racks and cargo boxes, today announced that the first two products in its new SkyBox cargo box line, the SkyBox 18 and SkyBox Pro 18 (referring to the number of cubic feet), will ship to retail on April 25, 2006. The 12, 16 and 21 cubic foot versions of the SkyBox will arrive at retail this summer. The SkyBox 18 is $439.99 and the SkyBox Pro 18 is $539.99. Pricing for the SkyBox and SkyBox Pro line ranges from $329.99 – 599.99, based on size and color.
Accessories include: a long-lasting internal LED light for increased visibility; a durable cargo net to keep gear secure; a removable gear pad for increased gear protection; and a low-profile wall mount for convenient box storage when not in use, all sold separately. These accessories are easily installed or removed, enabling outdoor enthusiasts to tailor the use of the box to their specific activities. The SkyBox is available in traditional black, while the SkyBox Pro comes in a metallic diamond pattern.
