(Moab, Utah)—Zeal Optics will launch a Bluetooth® technology and performance eyewear piece—The Confidant™ at the Snowsports Industry of America tradeshow in Las Vegas and the Outdoor Retailer tradeshow in Salt Lake City.
The Confidantâ„¢ combines the latest in universal Bluetooth technology and high-performance eyewear. The unique design incorporates a modular Bluetooth unit so that the Confidantâ„¢ may be used as a protective sunglass and/or as a communication interface with compatible Bluetooth devices. The lightweight, fully functional sport sunglass features ZB13 Photo-Chromatic (auto light adjusting) lens technology, which is the only lens that provides use in the broadest range of light conditions, resulting in performance enhancement and overall eye comfort. The Hyper Flash mirror provides additional protection against the sun’s harmful rays. Fully Rx’able with multiple lens options, the Confidant is truly state-of-the-art.
While other major brands have touted their launch in 2006, the Zeal Optics Confidantâ„¢ will be the first performance sport Bluetooth eyewear available to consumers in mid-March, 2006.
The unique communication technology of the Confidantâ„¢ offers hands free, wireless technology for synchronizing with Bluetooth cell phones or other Bluetooth devices up to 30 feet. With buttons that control volume, answering/ ending calls and controlling music, the user has absolute freedom from wires and cords. The eyewear also allows for a removable, replaceable and upgradeable Bluetooth component in addition to fit-adjusting earphone speakers.
Zeal Optics, the makers of the world’s ONLY Polarized & Photo-Chromatic lens goggle, will also have models of Confidantâ„¢ Bluetooth technology in their PPX Polarized & Photo-chromatic Goggle in the fall of 2006. PPX Goggles will also be available to view at SIA and OR and allow users to add Bluetooth communications to existing helmets rather than having to buy new technology.
