Calling IHRSA exhibitors wanting coverage

With less than a month to go before the fitness industry infiltrates downtown Los Angeles, SNEWS is calling IHRSA exhibitors new to the show and those with new products to email us at news@snewsnet.com for coverage consideration. Plus, we give you an overview of the seminars and a link for more information.

In less than a month, the fitness industry will take over the Los Angeles Convention Center for the 31st annual International Convention and Trade Show from March 14-17.

And SNEWS wants to help fitness manufacturers get as much coverage as possible, which is why we are calling on you to email us with your new products, or your story if you’re a new exhibitor, at news@snewsnet.com.

While IHRSA is geared toward owners and operators of fitness or recreation facility, many of the more than 7,000 attendees are retailers looking for the next hot thing, and, as SNEWS previously reported, the show is a good indicator of what’s coming on deck for home fitness equipment.

“Though most of our exhibitors tend to highlight their commercial product lines at IHRSA, most usually also have their retail lines represented,” said Meredith Poppler, spokeswoman for IHRSA.

This year there will be more than 325 exhibitors at the Los Angeles Convention Center for a U.S.-based fitness trade show that is truly international, Poppler said.

“The exposure an exhibitor receives is extraordinary,” Poppler said. Plus, the upcoming “show” issue of Club Business International featuring a “Product Premier Section” will reach a circulation of more than 28,000, giving manufacturers even more exposure.

As of Tuesday, there were more than 100 members of the press registered to attend the event, including trade publications like SNEWS, local television stations and fitness industry bloggers.

But IHRSA isn’t just about debuting new products, it’s also about learning new things in the seminars, classes and trainings.

The schedule for day one is packed with information sessions on medical fitness, functional medicine, sports medicine and how to create financial success through membership and services.

On the fun side, Zumba instructors will have an opportunity to get trained by Zumba founder himself, Beto Perez, and attendees can catch any one of the exercise classes on Thursday, March 5. Those classes include Cardio Bootcamp, Stott Pilates and Step 360 Training: Explosive Cardio.

While many of the workshops address how to run healthy, moneymaking facilities, others address how to manage personal and professional lives. That’s the case with the Women in Fitness seminar held on Thursday, presented by Nicki Anderson, president of Reality Fitness, Inc.
