Club Industry celebrates 20th show at Nov. 3-5 event
The annual Club Industry show, for which pre-registration closes Oct. 7, will at this year's Nov. 3-5 event in Chicago honor 10 exhibitors who have been with the show every year of its last 20.

The annual Club Industry show, for which pre-registration closes Oct. 7, will at this year’s Nov. 3-5 event in Chicago honor 10 exhibitors who have been with the show every year of its last 20.
The 10 include Body Masters, Check Free, Cybex, Keiser, Life Fitness, Microfit, Nautilus, Paramount, Precor and Star Trac. All will be honored at a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 12:30 p.m. on Nov. 3 at the 12:30 opening of the exhibit floor.
This year’s show will begin Nov. 2 with lectures and workshops, with the trade show running Nov. 3-5, with early morning workouts Nov. 4 and 5 and an earlier show floor opening on the last day, this year running 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
John Gray, author of the Mars and Venus books including the “Mars & Venus Diet and Exercise Solution,” will give the keynote address at a session Nov. 3 at 11:30 a.m. A key panel discussion — “Demystifying the Accreditation Certification Controversy” — will be Nov. 4, 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and is expected to examine IHRSA’s recommendation on personal trainer certification standards. Other sessions of the more than 100 to be offered include: “The Science and Business of Weight Loss,” “Menopause and Exercise: Designing the Right Program,” “Developing an Effective Exercise Program for Older Adults),” “Fill Your Facility with Purple Cows: Stand Out from the Competition,” “Developing a Year of Programming,” “Stress Management for You and Your Clients,” and “Express Strength-Training Circuits for New Participants.”
