1. Industry Breakfast – Retail Isn’t Dead: Optimism in the Age of Ecommerce
7 to 8:45 a.m. at the Colorado Convention Center – Mile High Ballroom: Kick off Outdoor Retailer Winter Market with free breakfast with a side of retail knowledge from Outdoor Industry Association. Keynote presenter Leslie Ghize, of The TOBE Report, will shed light on the future of the outdoor retail industry with an exploration of applicable inventive concepts and clever customer engagement.

2. Outdoor Industry Association Lunch – Election 2018: The Aftermath
12 to 1 p.m.: OIA Political Director Alex Boian, with OIA, along with experts from across the political spectrum, will break down the results of the 2018 midterm elections and what it means for the outdoor industry. Did America vote the outdoors? And are we in for more of the same, or did change come at the ballot box?

3. Combatting Sexual Assault and Harassment in the Outdoor Industry
12 to 1 p.m. at The Camp (Booth #32005-UL): Join Department of Justice veteran and University of Colorado researcher, Dr. Callie Rennison, and data scientist and operations strategist Charlie Lieu, as they present data on sexual harassment and assault, and the business risk it poses to outdoor brands. Learn best practices for preventing, addressing, and handling occurrences, and participate in a roundtable of industry leaders including Luis Benitez, Colorado’s Director of Outdoor Recreation Industry and Kristine Hostetter from SNEWS to discuss what we can do together to combat this silent epidemic.

4. Outdoor Retailer Innovation Awards
6 to 8 p.m. at the Colorado Convention Center – Mile High Ballroom: The Outdoor Retailer Innovation Awards, presented by Capital One, recognize the cutting edge and carefully considered products and retail services made famous at the trade show.
Winning products and retail services will be revealed on stage at a live awards ceremony on Thursday, Nov. 8, 2018. The Outdoor Retailer Innovation Awards ceremony will be held in the Mile High Ballroom at the Colorado Convention Center. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the show begins at 6:30 p.m. The ceremony is open to registered attendees and media.
A panel of luminaries, designers, retailers and media will evaluate entries based on a variety of factors, including concept, design, functionality, originality, sustainability and impact. These judges will select winners from a pool of finalists, which will be on display on the show floor throughout Winter Market.
