The pandemic will once again test the industry’s embrace of virtual gatherings this week as Outdoor Retailer takes place online for the first time in the trade show’s history.
After cancelling the 2020 Summer Market in April due to the pandemic, show organizers got to work on a virtual substitute to replace the event originally scheduled for June 23-25 in Denver, Colorado. Early last month, the OR team announced a solution called Outdoor Retailer Online, which starts tomorrow and runs through Thursday.
In addition to live product showings, one-on-one virtual appointments, large educational presentations, and discussion forums, the show will include digital versions of well-known OR events like the OIA Industry Breakfast and the Outdoor Retailer Inspiration Awards. A full explanation of the event’s features and functionality is outlined in this short video, released by OR organizers in recent days.
Thus far, more than 100 brands and 3,200 attendees have registered to attend. To join them, visit the show website.
